Many passages, dungeons and chambers can be found beneath the ground floor of the castle. Entrance to some of these can be found off the Entrance Hall, some are only accessible by magical means.

There are a total of six main towers in Hogwarts the Headmaster's Residence and Office, Gryffindor Tower, Ravenclaw Tower, Astronomy Tower, North Tower and the West Tower.

The Lake

The Lake is located south of the Castle and is approximately half a mile in diameter. Its habitants include green, sharp horned grindylows, the screeching merpeople lead by Merchieftain Murcus and the slimy giant squid.

The Lawns

Hogwarts' lawns spread all the way from the front gate to the edges of the lake. A large section in front of the Castle is used for the first years one and only flying lesson and the slopping lawns leading down to the forbidden forest are commonly used by students.

Hagrid's Hut

Hagrid's hut and pumpkin patch is found opposite the lawns and is made of old wood and lots of love. You will always find a giant sized tea and warm smile inside.

Green Houses

Herbology classes are held here but beware of the bubotubers! If you can keep yourself alive long enough you may have time to enjoy your surrounding, with all three green houses housing a series of magical pants to keep you interested for days.

The Leaky Cauldron

The Leaky Cauldron is located on Charing Cross Road in London. Food, lodging and a good firewhiskey can be found under its roof. Founded by Daisy Dodderidge in 1500 as a founded by Daisy Dodderidge (1467–1555) in 1500 as a "gateway between the non-wizarding world and Diagon Alley." If you make your way to the outside courtyard you'll find that if you tap the brick three up and two across you'll be met with a pleasant surprise.
